Roots

Mural dedicated to the resilience of the people in Jasper after one of the most destructive wildfires in Canadian history that hit their village one year before.
The towering Douglas fir, with deep, strong roots symbolises shelter and the long process of rerooting. Surrounding it, purple fireweed blossoms (flowers that spring up after wildfires) bringing new color, resilience, and life to scarred landscapes.
