I was commissioned to create a mural on a large sports hall that stands in front of a forest, hiding it from view. My first intention was to make the building disappear by painting the forest onto it, allowing it to blend seamlessly into the natural surroundings. While painting and sleeping over in my van, I discovered a hidden holiday resort tucked within the pine trees, with tiny houses. Some are cozy retreats for tourists, while others serve as homes for residents living surprisingly close to nature. A big contrast with the other side of the wall where it felt a lot more industrialized.
